yes, first Worthy Park, so far i ve tried (speaking of Jamaican aged rum) only Hampden single estate and the over proof version (both 8 years old), and the WP on the nose have that funky woody/smoky aroma similar to Hampdens, but in the mouth it delivers me less flavors, it s on the dry side (like Appleton 12 and 15) 45% also is good ABV (i really hate when a rum have just 40 or 38% ABV), i expected more flavors for a 100% pot still rum, i see people around here have this banana flavor but i really don t catch this flavor (it remind me to RL Seale 10, but ok i ve paid 11 euro less for it), will give it a 7 ! conclusion: not a bad rum but probably they have much better releases (because pot still 100% is a rare thing today in the world of rum)

Among the jamaican’s, worthy park has their own signatur funk, which seem’s more well behaved than some of the naughtier names, like Hampden. This doesn’t make it more or less appealing though. The nose is really aromatic and a little earthy with notes of banana, musty pineapple, milky tea, hints of rubber, varnish and sawdust. Given a little time, chared wooden notes also peaks out.
Given the potent nose, the taste is, a little surprisingly, somewhat light bodied but not without flavour. Tasty rubbery notes unfolds with an underlying banana sweetness, then rolling towards black tea and a bit of a spicy finish with pepper and ginger, ultimately giving way to the lingering pineapple sweetness.
It started out as a 7 for me, but as I’m getting to know this bottle, it’s closing in on an 8. The price is perhaps slightly to high, but it’s no biggie. Recommended and enjoyable bottle if you like Jamaican.

On to another Jamaican rum tonight with a glass of Worthy Park Single Estate Reserve rum. This rum is aged between 6-10 years and yields a 45% ABV. Not a bad Jamaican rum, feels very clean and has that Jamaican taste to it. A nice rum to have but the more I taste Jamaican rum the more I lean towards Barbados rums as my favourite. This one, however, is a nice addition to my rum cabinet.

This was an interesting taste. Sipped neap out of a plain rocks glass. A lovely nose of raw and candied ginger. Similar initial flavor as well as heavy raw peppercorns and cloves. And it's got a terrific acidic tingle initially as if it were high proof. But that quickly gives way to an unholy funk. The funk here tho... Man. It's like spoiled banana and is somewhere approaching unpleasant. I actually rinsed my mouth and drank some water while I let the glass sit. It didn't really make a significant difference. Still an amazing earthy spoiled funk in the finish. I'd like to experiment more but only received a tasting. Perhaps chilled or with ice. I wish this were a little higher proof as I think that might carry it better on the finish. This is nice. Good even. But that's as far as I'm willing to go.

Nose - smooth, little sweet, fruits notes, cocoa butter.

Taste - heavy, cocoa, caramel, fruits. Dry rum. Still pretty good.

Estery, balanced sweetness, light oak, a bit of sherry?, hints of vanilla and cinnamon. Worthy Park mostly does mass market rums, and this attempt at going "premium" is conservative but still interesting.

Strong burn, but opens nicely with a little water.

Very nice, but pricey.

Definitely Jamaican rums are unique! The so called “funk” gives these rums a very special touch. This is no different in that sense: banana flavor, pineapple, vanilla, and some toffee (slightly sweet). I found it a little rough (i.e. burn) in the finish. Good value for money.

This rum is very well balanced and nuanced, but I was missing a bit of the punch that I expected from a funky Jamaican rum. It was lacking any strong character that made it stand out

Nice aroma, a lighter color rum, Good flavor, but does have a strong burn at the end.
Jamaican Rum, Pot Still Distilled, nice heavy bottle it's packaged in.

Aroma is not very strong, with typical wild ester. Taste is dry, wodden with short bitter aftertaste. Very basic rum feom Worthy Park.
