Föredrog Sherry då denna smakade lite för mycket port. Tog över jamaikasmaken.
Worthy Park is definitely my favorite Jamaican rum. This is not my favorite Worthy Park, but it is damn good. It enters clean and smooth with Jamaican Funk and oak. Slippery smooth. Velvety bite. Thin in the mouth and across the pallet. Not immensly complex but there is much in the background. Then the port emerges and the balance is clear. The finish is beauutiful and lingering. One could argue whether or not Jamaican Funk and port are a good team. i like the sherry and Oleroso cask editions better, but this is still a formidable sipper.
Původ: Jamajka
Alkohol: 56%
Aroma: Pralinky, smažený banán, hřebíček a znatelný je i vliv sudu po portském. (86 b)
Body: 86/100

It’s very rich and fruity on the entry.
"The finish is full of milk chocolate and spicy gingerbread. ."

Great release, 8+ 8 out of 10
Bought me two bottles of this Special Cask Release from Worthy Park during the last Rum Cruise with Birka Cruises in the Baltic Sea.
I choose this one cause I heard it was the best one in the first batch Special Cask Release released in 2018.
It’s distilled in pot still back in 2008 whereafter it was aged for 9 years in ex-bourbon casks. Thereafter it was transferred to 1423 in Denmark where it was finished during one year in a former Port Cask before being bottled at ABV 56% in just 585 bottles.
The nose is rich, fruity, round and balanced with notes of banana, vanilla, toffee, port and oak.
In mouth and at the palate it’s very intense, rich and fruity with notes of port, pepper, mocha, black currant, orange, raisin, pineapple and banana.
The finish is rather long and dry with notes of mocha, toffee, oak and raisin.
Overall a great port finished rum that not loses its Jamaican funky profile.
