This to me is a great rum. Sure it's got some sweetness too it. But that's ok. It very flavorful. And great as a shot, sipper or mixer. Yummy stuff

Naughty Alcoholics bottle; short squat bottle easy to hide. Rich mahogany colour.
Pleasant alcohol burn at first, straight liquid not syrupy, woody tannine favour, slight vanilla, medium sweet fills whole mouth. Goes down very smooth ans leaves pepper and sweet flavour with mild alcohol burn. You want to do it again.

Neat or add no more than one ice cube or a dash of water. Any more takes the flavours away, so have not even tried as a mixer, would be a waste.

Excellent value sipper, perfect after dinner digestive. What you expect rum to be - as you drink an image of bright green sugar cane fields, hot blue sky and sugar cane mills come into your mind.

Moorish as tasty and goes down easy. Be careful he he.

This rum holds the best cost/quality ratio in my opinion. I love Its heavy molasses and leathery notes. Don't be fooled by the gimmicky presentation (which sometimes means a consumer trap), for the substance inside is superb.

Taký obyčajný ničím nevýrazný rum. Zradil by som ho medzi také tie, ktoré sí dám až keď sa minú všetky možnosti na pitie :)

This Pampero Aniversario comes in a leather sack, which is quite disturbing. But the content is excellent. A dark coloured rum full of nice flavours with a very long finish. A real sipper. Love it!

It's one of my favorite inexpensive sippers. Nice mix of chocolate, nuts and caramel.

This is available everywhere. I avoided it for a long time because of the leather bag. I want rum, not a goofy marketing pouch. It reminded me of Crown Royal and that insipid purple sack. Crown Royal has a great reputation and although drinkable is very mediocre Canadian Whiskey. Don't take my word for it, go buy a $20 bottle of Forty Creek barrel reserve and join the ranks of the enlightened! I was expecting this rum to be pretty lack luster, like Crown Royal. I was completely wrong . This truly has substance. A fine rum. Complex and smooth with a great smoky nose. Notes of coffee, raisins, spice and pepper. Wonderfully complex. Chewy, it coats the pallet. Great bite and outstanding finish. This is damn good rum. All I can say is LOSE the goofy genuine simulated leather pouch. Let the contents do the talking.

Tento Venezuelský rum vám dá podstatne viac ako čakáte od 4 ročného rumu,ktorý sa dá zohnať pod 20EUR. Cena je až zarážajúca pri pohľade na nádherný obal,vkusnu fľašku a následne peknú vôňu a chuť. Rum sa na nič nehrá,je skôr suchsi,málinko tvrdšiu,no nie príliš. Záver mierne zahreje,no nájdete v ňom príjemnú dochut Sherry i nasladle tony. Výborná voľba a určite najlepšia v kategórii rumov do 20EUR. Skvelá voľba na začiatok pri spoznávaní sveta rumov.

A local liquor store (colonial wine & spirits, Little Rock, AR) has this on sale for under $30. Quite a few steps up from the cheapest Bacardi and Capt. Morgan rums. Dark amber, you can hardly taste the alcohol, don’t mix it! It’s absolutely perfect by itself in a shot glass, room temp.

This is a fun bottle to share with friends. It comes in a classic leather pouch which looks just cool as heck. The rum itself doesn’t quite live up to the expectation set by the presentation, but you can do worse. It is actually a decent sip. It has tobacco and strong oak tones but also carries a burn. Sometimes the oak and burn are a bit too strong for my liking but sometimes I am in the mood for that. It’s not Zafra level but it’s a great thing to grab for an evening with friends.
