Kirk and Sweeney
I have to keep checking the number
I love this. I continually mistake it for its older brother, the remarkable 23 year. That’s how good this is. Smooth, sweet without being cloying, ver
Kirk and Sweeney
Possibly the smoothest rum possible at the price. No burn on the nose or the palate at all. Nice, balanced flavor as well
Best in price range
This is my favorite bottle in the upper 20s lower 30s range. Tastes like you spent a little extra. Just a little oaky, a little cinnamon and vanill
Excellent sipping rum
This is a pleasure to sip. Presents itself like a whiskey/rum hybrid with a great balance of smoke and sweet. Not too caramelly. Definitely one to che
Almost too nice to drink.
This bottle was a vacation splurge for me. This will probably be the best rum I own until I slowly finish it off. My dad would say there isn't enou
The Scarlet Ibis
The smell is dangerously smooth. The flavors are very subtle with a pleasant viscosity that feels syrupy without being too sweet
A little boozy, but has a fruity flavor that only comes from the cane juice. Easily my favorite example of the style.
Good intro to Demerara
It comes out the bottle very thick and syrupy. But with a little ice, it's a very smooth, sweeter sippible rum. The Demerara sugar flavor comes throug
Gran Reserva 15-Year
Let the ice do its job.
Almost everyone complains about the booziness and sweetness. And within minutes out the bottle that is absolutely true. Luckily, I waited for my ic
Family Reserve Old
Has a similar taste to other Goslings brands. Honestly forgot about it by the time I finished it. Too nice for dark and stormies, but can’t keep with
Aniversario Reserva Exclusiva
Admit it, you bought for the bag
The leather bag it comes in looks great on the shelf. The contents are ok. Initial taste was strong with coffee and sweet notes. Some ice to mellow is
5 Star Reserve Especiale 8-Year
Decently above average
This is my first agricole. This Rhum provides a very different experience from what I'm used to and makes for a great variety piece to add to my young
Middle child of the brand
The select and reserve Appleton is great for mixing (at a friendlier price), and older ones like the 21 are brilliant sippers. Then we have the 12 yea
Very whiskey like. Not very sweet, strong oak. It’ll do if I had to, but nothing special.
My go to for cola
This is right on the border between mixer and sipping. It's not close to Appleton's better bottles (the ones with years in the name) but it's a nice s
I'm going to go out on a limb here. My family tradition is to take a shot to start a football game. For my wife that's whiskey, and this bottle finall
I didn’t understand the complaints about added sugar, but I think I get it now. Way too sweet and cloying. The best use I can think of is a training s
Not bad for Bacardi
Gives a little extra smokiness to your usual Bacardi spiced. Pretty nice in soda. Not meant to be tried alone though.
Gran Reserva 12-Year
Not particularly good
Hmmmm. Not a favorite. A little to harsh. The color looks beautiful. The spice and vanilla are intriguing. I could see making rum balls with this. Whi
It's a mixer.
Basically, you have this for the same reason it's in every bar. This is for your mojitos and colas. It's good at being a mixer, but that's all it is.
Only got my hands on this because my father-in-law is moving and didn't want to pack the bottle. Still don't think it's worth what I (didn't) pay.
Seriously wish I could leave it at the title. Not convinced that this isn’t mislabeled garage quality vodka. Or kerosene
