Distilled using small-batch copper pot stills uniquely designed for Appleton Estate, this rum is a blend of several rums aged 21 years in American oak barrels. Once blended, the rum is re-casked for two years to marry the flavors.
Appleton Estate 21-year rum is produced in Jamaica on one of the country’s oldest and most renowned sugar estates. Each bottle is individually numbered and comes with a signed aging certificate by master blender Joy Spence.

Quite simply the best rum to have graced my tastebuds. Very smooth, and leaves a sweet taste in your mouth as it leaves.
Beautiful color, nose is oaky, caramel, citrus.
Taste is aged oak, nutty, with a dry finish.
Oak taste lingers. This is my first Appleton. Look forward to drinking more of this rum.
Expensive, but worth the price. Incredibily crafted with the right amount of kick to it. One of the best rums in my collection. I enjoy it on special ocassions.
I have to say I still prefer sweeter rums but this is another dry beauty. I recommend to leave it in glass for while and then drink it. After first sip you can feel that there is definitely no added sugar. Aroma is very woody with tropical fruit especialy orange. Taste is also very woody with flavours of almonds, coffee, fruit and spice. I prefer Doorlys 14 but this is really great rum.
Pleaseant on the nose and smooth to sip. Only downside is price.
Sweet not harsh. And very smooth without that burning sensation.
Nice brown sugar and toffee notes with a nice creamy nuttiness underneath.
"Tropical notes of sweet fruits a little orange zest and some nice notes of tropical fruit. It burns slightly on the finish which is very long and satisfying. ."
Try to get a well lit shot from the front of the rum label

Had the opportunity to taste this first time as part of a Master Class with the First Lady of Rum, Master Blender Joy Spence. Being one of few rums that actually are at least 21 years old this is pricy but worth every penny. The color, the bottle, the legs in the glass.. all leading into that lovely smell and taste.
