Best Yes, it's pricey, but it's super. Tried on the rumvent calendar and plan to order a bottle for special occasions.

Papas Pilar Dark 24-year

Good but not my favorite I don't really get the coffee. Aroma is nice but, again, not my favorite.

Gosling's Family Reserve Old

Love it Treat it lovingly, and let it rest a bit in the glass. We love the heady aroma and pleasant caramel.

Our fave Smooth and aromatic without the alcohol bite or astringency.

Flor de Caña 25-year

Smooth and nutty Very pleasant to sip, and the finish reminded us of hazelnuts.

Pusser's British Navy ”Nelson’s Blood” 15-year

Good! We prefer the Gunpowder Proof, but the 15-year old is right up there.

El Dorado 12-year

Could sip this all evening Sooo smooth and delightful. Tried as a tasting and wanted more.

Powerful Definitely pour and let it rest. We loved the spicy aroma and lingering finish.

Another spiced rum I can drink Not a spiced rum fan, but Rumbullion converted me. The only reason I held back from 10 is that the regular Rumbullion spiced was better.

Cuba Libre El Dorado 15-year

Excellent Pleasant on the nose and a delightful sweet finish.

Appleton Estate 21-year

Close to perfect Pleaseant on the nose and smooth to sip. Only downside is price.

Smooth Good to sip without being astringent. Lovely aroma.

Well-mixed Another in our rumvent calendar. We liked its smoothness and the mix of caramel, fruit, and spice on the palate.

Don Q 2005 Limited Edition

Good but not my fave Pleasant aroma and finish, but not the best I've had.

Kraken Black Spiced

Nice spice Good for a sweet rum with a pleasant finish. Would buy again.

Zaya Gran Reserva 12-year

Pretty good Good flavor, but alcohol bite at the end was a bit unpleasant. Better with food.

Angostura 1824 12-year

Delish Wonderful to sip, but had a sharp hint on the nose.

Rhum JM 1999 10-year

Strong on the nose Even letting it rest didn't seem to help it relax. Not our favorite.

1931 84th Anniversary 6-12 Years

Not bad Had a hard time getting past the alcohol on the nose.

Rhum JM XO 6-year

Not a fan of the type Really not bad, although the alcohol burn was pronounced.

Trois Rivieres VSOP Réserve Spéciale 5-year

Good but not the best Another that reinforced we are not rhum agricole fans.

Citrusy Not unpleasant, but not our favorite, since we prefer aged darks.

New to Rhum This was our first experience with rhum agricole, and it just wasn't to our liking.

Not memorable Not something I would buy to sip. Maybe it works with mixers.

Tang That's Tang as in the breakfast drink, because that was what came to mind on the first sip.
