Guyana | Aged | 40% ABV | Pot and Column Still

El Dorado 12-Year Rum is composed of a blend of aged rums, all at least 12 years old. The rums are distilled using a combination of stills including coffey stills and a double wooden pot still before being aged in bourbon oak casks.

Demerara Distillers of Guyana produces El Dorado 12-year rum and is the country's last remaining distillery, with origins tracing back to 1670. The name ""El Dorado"" references the legendary city of gold that is said to be in the country's Rupununi region.

Christmas/fruit cake, raisins, treacle, caramel with faint notes of clove, nutmeg and vanilla. A truly rich rum full of character, amazing straight, amazing mixed, amazing used for cooking... the downside is, it can be a little sickly which I have been lead to believe is because of the use of artificial sweeteners used :(

This rum is excellent is not too costly and is a well sweet sipping rum, with hit of fruits and wood.

This on the rocks is amazing a delicate smooth rum that's very amazing... Not got the depth of the 21 but still rocks my world.... Let the ice melt a hit for a devone flavour

Like it with good flavor on first drink. But flavor is not taking upperhand.
But burns a bit too much for me.
But still very nice on ice.

quite nice, ive had rums that are gentler on the pallete, this benefits from ice melted to allow it to mellow a little,

I'm undecided...
This rum is too smooth, too sweet, too all...
Is like an astonishing top model that doesn't light your fire.
Still you have to admit is quite perfect!

Try it with Stilton cheese! You'll love it!

The best rum I've tasted so far. Great taste and quality. Vanilla and caramel notes. Smooth from beginning to end. Drink it on the rocks or add a splash of vanilla or cherry coke.

Somewhat disappointed with the overall tastes. Found it had a sharp, sour after taste. Tried it with both my usual mixers and was not blown away by either. Worthy purchase but I have a few others I would go to first.
