les rhums Appleton ne sont pas mes préférés, mais celui-ci peux se dégusté seul. Bon rapport qualité/prix.

I cracked the bottle and had a nip straight away and was disappointed but after letting it breathe for 20 minutes was much better. Nose of slight banana. On the taste side caramel apples banana and slight apricot not bad at all

Nicely surprised with this fun blend. Better than it's predecessor, this rum is sweet, smooth, with slight crudeness you get from the Jamaican stills. Light, airy, and tasty. Tame this Jamaican rum with a Maduro cigar.

Not sweet no added sugar, just a tasty good old rum

I didn't quite get the fruityness everyone's talking about around here. Not sweet, it has strong dark flavours, a nice burn and a lingering aftertaste that's not bad but a bit unbalanced. I believe it can work really well, but only if you're into all of the above.

More along the lines of your spiced rums but still oak taste and good with lime. Moderately sweet. Would definitely buy again.

Appleton is looking to become my goto for sipping rum.

To me this one is virtually indistinguishable from the 8 year, so probably won't buy it again, since the 8 is a good bit cheaper.

The flavour is pretty strong - this isn't syrupy smooth like some others. You certainly know you're drinking something worth appreciating slowly.

Aroma is nice, wooden with slight spicy and funky jamaica on background. Taste is smooth and little bit naturaly sweet. Aftertaste is oaky and only average long.

Much better that old bottle, very good price/quality value.

Compared to 8y it has significantly less funk, there is much wood on the nose, at least on par with the characteristic overripe banana, very smooth profile, the woody chocolate taste notes with slight coppery banana, all very deep and well merged together, with spicy, long, and pleasant ending. It has on one hand fewer different tones in smell and taste than the rare 12y blend, but the pronounced warm woody tones give it much depth, it is a really classy sipper, much to my liking, well worth the money.

This was my entry to Jamaica rums and it did not disappoint.

Not a very smooth rum with some noticeable burn. you definitely get a noticeable alcohol taste on the nose. However it mellows out into much calmer more distinct notes of brown sugar with a sweet finish.
