Appleton Estate 2002 Hearts Collection 20-Year

was lucky enough to be involved with a tasting of this bottle....a very expensive bottle in my world. Thought I was ready for the 63% ABV but i wasn't. initial nose wasn't as pleasant as i would have expected nor was the initial taste. Yes, I have enjoyed higher ABV rums but this was very alcohol forward, a bit of bite and then a very warm sensation. second sip was much better /smoother almost as if the first sip set up the senses for what could potentially be a great experience. However, I never had that experience that I expected in a bottle north of CAN$300 (March 2024)

Další výborný Appleton s lehounce technickým odérem. O fous lepší než ročník 2003. Slabších 9/10.
