Favorite online sources for hard to find rums?

Lee: You can Google the name of the rum followed by the word "prices". Then the Wine Searcher link will appear. Then you can get in touch with each merchant to see about shipping. Then comes the nasty surprise. Alcohol laws in each of our states are very different. Where I live, I can neither have any spirits shipped to me directly or to any retailer for pick up. I also cannot send any spirits out. And my state does not even have the craziest alcohol laws. Drizly also has a nice selection, but then again, you have to deal with the alcohol laws in your state. Try to order anything from Drizly and once they find out where you live, they will inform you of shipping options. As for me, I got so sick of all these laws that I would just drive hundreds of miles to get what I want. It is tough being hell bent on getting what I want. However, those rum running trips get old real fast. I now have a 50 mile limit to get repeat purchase rums within my own state. Another company to check out is Bitters And Bottles. There are only six states and the DC area that allow shipments of spirits into them. They are: Florida, Hawaii, Kentucky, Nebraska, New Hampshire, and Rhode Island.
