Borgoe Reserve Collection 12-Year

The looks of the bottle are better then the taste of the rum. Nice dark colored rum. Little burn on the end.

This is a very smooth rum. The best Borgoe I had so far...

On the nose dried fruit and a smokey leather. Warm and inviting. Medium bodied (rather?) dry rum that brings a lot of flavour on to the palate; oak, raisins, orange peel, leather and caramel. A bit of a dark smokey taste but with sweet and fruity notes to lighten it up. Well balanced straightforward rum with a peppery butterscotch ending. Very pleasant and proof that a rum doesn't need to be overly complex in order to be nice and entertaining. A treat!

Schöne dunkle Farbe im Glas.
Leichte Töne von Leder und Teer.
Etwas scharf im Abgang.
Interessanter Rum mir aber etwas zu scharfer Alkoholabgang

New country in my list, yay!
Nose: very nice, fruity with hints of wet ashes.
Palate: dry, but pretty voluminous and pleasant. Not a sweet one, but with character. Lasts long enough on the tongue. I like.

Found it dry and oaky with pepper at the end. Some caramel there too. Short-medium aftertaste with little burn.

Dufter af fermenteret frugt. Smag af lidt karamel og vanilje, men også tørt træ og peber. Det hele forsvinder hurtigt, da den er uden dybde. (17. December 2019 i 1423)

Dark rum with classical aroma, however with whisky and caramel aftertaste.
