The Velier Tiger Shark is a blend of a Worthy Park (Jamaica) and a Demerara (Guyana) rum, which were stored for an average of 14 years and bottled in Navy strength of 57.18% alcohol without dyes, sugar or filtration. It is the second Navy Rum from Velier, but this time without Caroni share.

The rum is immediately direct and present in the nose. The balance of the two distillates is amazing. The longer the rum can breathe, the more clearly you can see individual components. There is a distinct fruity WP note recognizable, such as orange, which pairs with the heavy Demerara notes such as sweet honey, leather and old wood. Absolutely top. On the palate, the rum is well balanced again. After a short fruity start comes a slight peppery spiciness that pairs with mint and leather. A clear proportion of wood resonates. A full body with lots of flavors. Spicy it goes to the end which is characterized by a lot of wood and some mint.

A fantastic rum and a perfect blend. Very different from the Very Old Navy Rum but on the same high level. Since it is still available you should secure a bottle. I will definitely buy a one, as the price is still humane at the moment.

It is not a rum for unexperienced drinkers. I was glad to have my shot at the Kirsch Whisky stand. I tried 10 rums last evening at the 10. German Rumfestival in Berlin and this was the clear winner. My words cant describe it. It is rich heavy and full of flavours. This navy blend is named after Luca Garganos nickname "Tiger Shark". Well deserved. It was probably the happiest day of my rumlife. Im looking forward to other masterpieces now. Before i had this one i tried Black Tots new 2021 release and it was the closest in terms of quality. After i tried Tiger Shark i had Malecon 20 rare proof and it tasted like nothing to me. This rum clearly redefined my range of taste.

This Tigershark absolutely fits for purpose from my point of view, Very Old Rum slightly better than Tigershark. Blend of rums from several Caribbean distilleries, produced exclusively by cauldron distillation, which matured for an average of 13 years in bourbon barrels and subsequently blended by Luca Gargano. It is bottled at a naval strength of 57.18% and has a distinctive taste with tones of citrus, exotic fruits, wood, chocolate and spices😎

Naprosto originální chuť. Citrus, ovoce, dřevo a čokoláda s vyšší voltazi. Bez přidaného cukru.

This rum is on another level, really powerful. The initial nose is clearly Demerara but soon enough the Jamaican esters takes over and dominates. On the palate I get raisins, oak, vanilla, tabaco and leather at the end lingering with a strong burn but bearable. You have to sip this rum really carefully and graciously. Not for beginners or faint of heart for sure. A truly special rum for real rum lovers.

I've tried this one on festival in Poland. Really good one, nice flavour and smell. Recomended.
