Plantation XO 20th Anniversary rum is a combination of pot-stilled and column-stilled Barbadian rums that are initially aged in the Caribbean in ex-bourbon casks for 12-20 years. They are then transported to France for a second 12-18 months aging in small French oak casks.
The first bottle of Plantation XO 20th Anniversary was created for the head of Cognac Ferrand Estate Alexandre Gabriel to honor his 20th year running the company. This special gift has resulted in the bottling we see today.

Not my favorite but still a good sipper. Maybe a little to sweet for my taste.

A very nice sweet rhum! Not Incredible When you smel it but really tasty! I enjoyed it! A must have!

Très rond avec de belles notes de vanille et de coco.

After reading several reviews, i purchased the rum and tried it immediately(not while I was working, much after). The taste of vanilla and caramel, with subtle sweetness was remarkable. I got no harshness or sour notes. I tried the first neat, and the second with ginger ale, my preference, and loved them. I would give it a 10 but I am going on the belief that there may always be one better out there, and enjoying the search! And the price was unbelievable for the quality, $55 Canadian, can't go wrong.

Zatim nejlepsi rum co jsem mel moznost ochutnat. Krasna barva, jemna maslova chut s tony kokosu a duboveho dreva. Velice jemny a vlascny. V teto cenove kategorii nejlepsi piti

Im Vergleich mit einem Zacapa 23 oder Centenario 15 kann er leider nicht ganz mithalten
It tastes pretty much like a coconut liqueur.

The first smell was amazing, sweet with molasses and brown sugar. The taste is similar, with a great drawn out and slightly spicy initial punch turning into a long sweet finish that's just the right amount of oil.
