Tasted this rum at a restaurant after having a typical Swedish Christmas buffet.
It’s a blend of rum from Jamaica, Barbados and Trinidad with 10gpl added sugar.
The nose is spicy, fruity, vegetal with hints of arrack and banana.
In mouth, at the palate and during medium long finish it’s sweet, vegetal and spicy with tastes of tropical fruits and arrack.
Overall a quite bland rum that can’t compete with the best ones.

In cocktails it never disappointed me, but it never impressed me either. It did the job. I could taste the rum in every drink, whitout it taking over to much. But hard to pin down the taste.Tried it neat once, tasteprofile; vanilla, fruity and a little hint of glue. Nothing special, nothing terrible. But since it just went on to do the job in every drink i mixed, i can not rate this lower than 7 points. But still, not much to say about taste and smell.
I do like some plantation 3 star. Great for sipping neat or in any cocktail where white rum is needed. Awesome value.
Best white rum you can get. Loved this rum a whole lot
Not as multidimensional as Vertias.
But still a solid white rum for cocktails.
En dejlig hvid rum der kan bruges til det meste i baren. Er ikke god som sipper.
Bought this for Mojitos, absolutely love it in them. Burns a little too much for me to drink neat, but if you’re looking for something to mix with, look no further! Incidentally also great for making vanilla extract and subsequently creme brûlée.
EDIT: Having tasted some more rums, I'm deciding to bump this up to an 8 because of its price to performance: I can get this for 13.90 €, and at that price I don't think it can be beat. I wish it tasted a little bit more intense, but at that price it's still a great performer.
Great in my rum and coke pretty smooth and affordable
An excellent moderately priced rum.Good for mixed.
It’s mainly a nose of strong alcohol.
"Initially it sips quite well and is reasonably smooth but it is has a very strong taste when swallowed."
Try to get a well lit shot from the front of the rum label

This rum came at me as a gift at a party, and it tastes like a surprise gift indeed. Plantation crafts delicious rums in general, so I was curious what this was about, as I'd had their aged and blends previously around and above this price point. After trying lots of Jamaican rums in the last couple months, I was taken aback with how similarly this tasted. A tinge sweet upfront, but that subsides while you get to enjoy the quick tour of flavors representative of the spirits this is blended from (as I'd later find out: Jamaica, Barbados and Trinidad.).
This makes a great entry into any of these three distinctive styles for someone curious about them. It's not too much of any single one, so if Jamaican funk turns you off, you might like the touch this one lends to the palate. It's good neat, but great in a punch, and probably needs the touch of fruit juice to really set it off. This could easily become a go-to white mixer for the home bar... I prefer em 50% or stronger, but the flavor is good enough here to carry a potent cocktail as a base with stride.
