Nose is a bit flat, heavy in the burn with just a hint of smoke. Nice on the tongue with a heavy peat taste ending in a hint of menthol. Not a great sipper for someone who is not a Scotch drinker. Tried a few builds with straight coke being the best, 7-up okay and much to heavy for ginger ale. Have not tried blending and do not really see it as that.

Though not for me I believe someone who likes a heavier peated Scotch would like the extra flavors that can be found in this rum.

Body: 88/100
Shrnutí: Decový vzorek stačil na několik ochutnávek, ale tohle bych si dal rád častěji. Velmi originální a zajímavá záležitost nejen pro příznivce Islay.

Nose is rather flat. What happens next is so unique. Candy earthy smoky flavors with endless liquorice note on the finish. Delicious.

Gentle on the nose which is deceptive because the first sip is BANG- smokey dry earthy flavours. Tiny bit of sweetness and plenty of layers of flavour after that. Most unusual rum I've ever tasted. It's an 8.5 at a push but I can't rate it 9 on here.

This rum does not come up from the glass easy. Not a strong nose, but i sense dried fruit, vanille and nougat. Fine smokey balance between nose and taste. The ABV 45.2 is well inegrated. If you are new rum drinker I recommend you try it out.

Romhatten. Brun. Duft let af røg og vanilje. Smag let af røg, sødme, frugt. Meget flot.

The lovechild of a Trinidad aged rum and a lightly peated whiskey. Surprising but lovely.

Nose : Original, starts on a smoky, peaty, earthy profile with black pepper. It Evolves on lemon peel, butterscotch and nougat.

Palate : Rich and complex, it offers a fruitier profile of cooked pear, peach and starfruit with notes of nutmeg, vanilla and macchiato and a hint of malted barley.
