Old Monk Supreme

The bottle is very cool. The rum is not bad but nothing really special. It’s drinkable but ordinary.

Great bottle! In the shape of an old monk. My choice of rum while in India. Don't drink it on ice if in India!

By no means unpleasant, but the bottle is the best thing about this rum. It doesn't have much spice to tempt you to try it again.

Sadly the bottle is the best part of this drink..was ok as a sipping rum but really lacked on flavour

This old Monk is an OK rum. I prefer something with more of a vanilla note. You get a nuttiness and they heavy sweetness.

Starts with Coffee, Coffee, Coffee, brown sugar, caramel and vanilla extract then fades to a slightly bitter aftertaste. This rum feels like it was heavily back-sweetened with brown sugar to hide the bitter note, resulting in an overly sweet end result.

Not undrinkable but also not great. At around $18 it is not expensive , however there are better choices in rum for the $20 price point.

Tail:short,light,warming

Bottle:under-average,cheap looking monk

I am wondering if I will ever like an Indian rum... Definitely not this one with kitschy bottle and under average taste...

Auch dieser Rum aus dem asiatischen Bereich, ist nicht pur
zu geniessen. Kaffeearoma und mehr Prozente. Wer einen starken
Mix mit Cola mag, für den mag es gut sein. Ich möchte den puren
Rumgenuss und das gibt der Old Monk nicht her

Chocolate and coffee. I've heard this called "the Jack Daniel's of India" and I get it; you could get used to this unique flavor. But it's also incredibly cheap, despite the special bottle. It's too bad I really dislike this unique flavor.
