Pixan 8-Year

I actually found this really good. Sweet smell and taste, very smooth as well. Interesting aromas, does not smell of acetone at all. Can recommend!

Rhum ambré assez doux avec ces notes de vanille prononcées

I got this from of the Rum Ratings tasting club.

It's a decent Mexican rum. Semi-sweet. Smells and tastes of caramel, vanilla, cinnamon, almonds, and oak.

Not bad at all.

Mildly sweet and easy to drink. Brief finish with notes of vanilla, prunes and cola.

The nose has subtle hints of vanilla, some spice, molasses, and something herbal. Fairly smooth on the tongue with minimal burn, notes of sweetness, oak, vanilla. The finish is mild and has a bit of a rough finish. Overall, decent and has some potential.

Had an off flavor like mildew or must. The rest of the flavors were not particularly good. Not a rum to drink neat.

Very subtle fruit and sweetness. Light on the palate.

It wasn’t too bad, but I was surprised how sweet it was. I suspect added sugar.
