Kraken Black Spiced

I think, Kraken is best rum in price-quality ratio. It tastes little sweater with slight pepper tones. I know that rum is not recommended to drink cooled, but this one's taste is very interesting when it's temperature is slightly lowered

heavy in vanilla notes, which is pleasant. body is nice as well but lacking a little in complexity. not great bit terrible

We met during summer, with friend on cottage and after tourism, was this rum great alternative to taste something new. We smelled there piece of caramel, which was a little spiced with cinnamon and vanilla.

Not my thing personally, but can definitely see why people like it so much, very overpowering flavour of caramel, makes for some very unique mixes.

Was hyped up about this by friends but it turned out just ok. Decent spice, too sweet, something tastes a bit off.

The spice level in this rum is too high. The taste is pretty awful. If I receive a bottle as a present I keep it around to offer to my guests that don’t know better. Save your money.

Sweet rum which is not bad. Nothing great either but has nice memory.

This stuff is decent. As far as spiced rum goes I'd go with Kraken over Captain Morgan. Kraken is sweet but a little too sweet to enjoy neat. No real complexity other than sweet and spiced. The stuff is more on the thick end. Rum and cokes would be splendid with this one or perhaps a dark n stormy if you're into those.

well it was my first rum and an ok rum at that. Mixing wasnt very good with this rum but drinking it just as is was very enjoyable

I'll admit it, the label got me for an impulse buy. What's not to like about drawing your attention with a giant squid battling an overactive thyroid in a gale. What was inside the pleasing bottle didn't strike horror to the palate or cause me peg leg to run astern. For a spicy offering it's suitable until I find something with more tentacles to hold my attention. Fear not. The Kraken can be tamed.
