Kraken Gold

This rum is nothing spectacular but it's totally decent. It's lower proof and less intense/less flavorful than the original Kraken. It's a little more smooth than the original Kraken as well. Ultimately, it's still a mass produced, mediocre rum, but it beats Captain Morgan (at the same proof) all to hell. It's easily worth a shot at a bar for the casual rum drinker.

Très doux par rapport aux autres il faut noter que c est seulement 35%. Au goût cannelle et Vanille mais pas autant que les autres.

Not as intense as the original Kraken but still pretty good. Makes a decent cuba libre.

If you like Kraken dark, you will hate this stuff. Don't get me wrong, it is not horrible, it just doesnt have the nose, depth, flavor or punch of the dark siblings. It is kinda sorta midline acceptable straight with one large ice cube, as long as you dont have high expectations. Any ice melt at all and it quickly dilutes into oblivion. It ranks pretty high on the "meh" scale for me. My initial thought, and still clearly thinking after most of a bottle gone due to its relatively low alcohol content, is that this the rum you mix for drinks with people who dont like rum.

vanilla - chocolate aroma, tastes very good after a nice lunch and hard working day

Thought I’d give it a shot. A hint of original Kraken but a bit underwhelming. Maybe a nice mixer for the summer when regular is too strong. I’ve got 600 ml left to experiment with.

A less spiced and less syrupy kraken. Makes a wonderful mix with coke as well. For spiced rums, it is nice and not overpowering. Also not a bad price. However I would say it lacks complexity.
