Kraken Black Spiced Rum was first introduced by Proximo Spirits in 2010 . The dark rum is infused with 11 “secret” spices, caramel and other natural flavors.
The rum gets its name after the mythical sea creature 'The Kraken'. As legend has it, this terrifying creature attacked ships at sea during the 18th and 19th centuries - possibly for all the rum on board.

Quite a harsh burn even with coke. One is enough for my taste.

Nice flavour, strong but smooth. A very nice rum. Would definitely recommend it.

Full of flavor, but a little overpowering in mixed drinks and a little harsh to stand alone. Good for a drink or two, but then I want to switch to something a little more subtle.

Voici un Spiced Rum qui est mis en valeur grâce à un beau packaging.
En dégustation, ce rhum est assez épicé, sur la cerise et la vanille et possède une finale longue et douce, ça s'arrête là..
Il est surtout très bon en Cuba Libre :) A déguster en cocktails donc !!

After hearing so much about this rum, I decided to order a bottle for myself. It arrived yesterday and I couldn't wait to taste it before put a review on it. Cant wait to crack open this baby.

Très surpris par ses aromes, il se laisse boire même si la persistance en bouche n'est pas assez prononcé, surement du à la jeunesse relative du rhum.

I like The Kracken black spiced rum. I use for mixing and I prefer it with Dr. Pepper over cola. I do like Captain Black over The Kracken, but this is my second choice for black rum. I think Captain Black is a touch smoother even though this is a better bargain. An interesting bottle also. I keep one on hand in my bar.

It´s disgusting bitter, poor taste. Not worth to buy it. Better to spend the money for some Appleton Dark Rum
