Trinidad and Tobago | Spiced | 40% ABV | Column Still (1-4)
Kraken Black Spiced Rum was first introduced by Proximo Spirits in 2010 . The dark rum is infused with 11 “secret” spices, caramel and other natural flavors.
The rum gets its name after the mythical sea creature 'The Kraken'. As legend has it, this terrifying creature attacked ships at sea during the 18th and 19th centuries - possibly for all the rum on board.

Jemnejší, menej výrazný. Ale zároveň chutnejší ako kapitán.
Un Rhum plus industriel certainement qui conviendra à merveille à la préparation de coktails, il est également plaisant à boire pur avec ses notes de caramel.
This is my go to rum when having lots of company over with mixed drinks.
First impressions of this is that it has a lot of caramel coloring added. When poured the rum stays almost pure black with no reddy tones. On the nose it's sweet, vanilla and almond. Mixed with cola it maintains that sweetness but there's a roughness from what I imagine a young gold rum base so ming through prominently. Nice enough but nothing incredible or new. Probably on a par with Morgans spiced gold if I'm honest.
Nice tones, cinnamon, caramel, and black cherry. Straight up possible but like it in a coke more.
This rum is so smooth I normally just drink it on the rocks. Although this I would say is the best mixing rum I have tried thus far.
Very strong syrupy taste, overpowers the spices heavily. Pretty much only good mixed with ginger beer. If you aren't interested in drinking a Dark and Stormy I would skip over this.
A caramel/treacley heavy molasses like smell. .
"There is nothing subtle about the spicing and the caramel flavour makes the rum, to my taste overly sweet."
Try to get a well lit shot from the front of the rum label

It´s disgusting bitter, poor taste. Not worth to buy it. Better to spend the money for some Appleton Dark Rum
The Bottle is nice, that all!
