Kraken Black Spiced Rum was first introduced by Proximo Spirits in 2010 . The dark rum is infused with 11 “secret” spices, caramel and other natural flavors.
The rum gets its name after the mythical sea creature 'The Kraken'. As legend has it, this terrifying creature attacked ships at sea during the 18th and 19th centuries - possibly for all the rum on board.

Sampled Kraken Black Spice Rum and found it very very sweet. This might be good as a mixer but definitely not as a sipper but, to each its own. For some it may very well be worth a 9 rating, to me it's a 4.

Il est facile à boire à tel point qu on le croirait coupé à l eau.
Néanmoins je pense qu il peut être sympa dans certains cocktails.
Easy to drink after the first few shots/mixed drinks. After that it gets better to drink and it becomes easier to pick out the flavors/spices.

Good dark rum that works with coke, ginger or in a pinch as a sip...heavy vanilla tones
Smells very spiced, but when tasted the alcool is too prominent.
Der Rum eignet sich perfekt zum mixen mit Cola.
Aber auch pur kann man sich mal ein Glas genehmigen.

Maybe that's just not my style...but sorry...that's awful. There're some spices what I don't like...smell's not good...strange colour...I can't recommend at all

A good over all Spiced Rum. Best for mix those rum favorites.
Ce rhum est fort en alcool, mais je le trouve faible en goût et saveur. Doit être bon en cocktail
I mostly drink my rum neat but after trying this one I decided to make a rum and coke, this rum has a fair amount of spice and a pretty good bite so it doesn't get lost in coke like some others, so for that it is a very good mixing rum, but I wouldn't care to pour a glass and drink straight up. It is on the sweeter side and it tastes like artificial but pretty tasty molasses, not smooth at all but in my opinion that is good for a rum and coke.

Quality wise this comes close to that of your average captain Morgan's. Almost too sweet to mix with cola and way to artificial to ever drink straight up.
