Kraken Black Spiced Rum was first introduced by Proximo Spirits in 2010 . The dark rum is infused with 11 “secret” spices, caramel and other natural flavors.
The rum gets its name after the mythical sea creature 'The Kraken'. As legend has it, this terrifying creature attacked ships at sea during the 18th and 19th centuries - possibly for all the rum on board.

Luktar lite kryddigt, något spritig men ändå ganska len. Passar nog bra till cola.
Was my first ‘proper’ bottle of rum recommended by a friend who has the kraken tattoos on him 😂 very smooth and easy to drink am now on a rum quest to try as many different rums as I can!
This was only my second rum to taste, and it hurt. It's over proofed, so it hit hard and hot. One of the predominant flavors is black licorice, I hate black licorice. It's thick, reminded me of Vick's 44 cough syrup. If you like black licorice or anise, give it a try, if not stay away. Too strong to drink neat and carries too much licorice to use for mixing.
This rum was actually what got me hooked on rum. Good flavor, doesn't break the bank and mixes well with cola or root beer.

Its a really Sweet rum. If you like sweets than you Will love the Taste of the kraken.

It's so fake that celebrities are using it as a facial scrub. All I can taste is sugar and artificial spices. Send it back to the abyss from whence it came.

This is a good rum to rely on for mixing purposes. Sweet to taste.

Not sweet, quite sharp, but the spices makes it interesting and I think that's the reason why I enjoy it.
