El Dorado Special Reserve 15-Year rum is crafted from 15 to 25 year old rums that are then blended and married together in bourbon oak casks. Prior to blending the original batches are distilled using 4 unique stills - the Enmore and Diamond Coffey stills, the Port Mourant double wooden pot still, and the Versailles single wooden pot still.
The bottle of El Dorado Special Reserve 15-year was inspired by the the old hand-blown flasks used by sugar planters on the banks of the Demerara river.

But only just! Clear notes of toffee. Not really sure if it’s worth the price over 12 year old but definitely nicer.
Silnejsi rum jantarove barvy a plne chuti na konci prejde do drevite chuti po pouzitych sudech. Jeden z mich oblibenych rumu.
Compared to the 12-year this fell a bit flat for me. It's nice, but if i could choose i'd rather have the 12-year.
El Dorado rum is typical value for money rum. 15 year Old rum with a hint of sugar added, but still very tasty.
Need to try the new version with less added sugar.
One of my favorite rums. A lot of flavors and a great choice to serve your friends.
My advice is to stick to the 12 year old. Sometimes the twelves are better than the fifteens and this is clearly one of them. The 15 is still good but... Yeah, stick to the 12.
This was pleasantly surprising as I did not care for the 12 year from el dorado. This 15 year is super smooth with almost a fruity taste that lingers. Really nice. I would buy again.
This rum is quite smooth but I did not get a ton of pronounced flavors out of it as I do with some of the other similarly priced rums (Plantation XO). for the price I would just stick with the 12 year as I feel that is of better value even if it isn't as smooth as the 15.
Full nose packed with dark coffee, candied orange, almonds, dark chocolate...

Has more oak and chocolate notes.
"It is initially very sweet, apples, bananas and rum soaked raisins but there are also some bittersweet plum like notes. The finish is spicy and fruity and long lasting."
Try to get a well lit shot from the front of the rum label

Similar to the 12 yr old. Sweet demerara but for price, would go for the zacapuca.
