El Dorado 5-year rum is produced by Demerara Distillers Ltd. of Guyana. Sharing its name with the Demerara River, Demerara Distillers first started production in 1670.

Excellent on the rocks (probably too hot for sipping neat), nicely complex and oaky. Mix it with coconut water and you have the world's greatest drink. Also great with cola and ginger beer. At between $12-$17 this can't be beat for value.

Again, as with the 3 yr its a pretty basic rum. not a lot to say really but could do worse in a cuba libre...
