Sugar: Estimated at 30-40 GPL. Now this rum makes a fantastic pina colada. It's sweet and smooth and the coconut flavour is real and not artificial. Had a pina coloda at a Florida bar and this was the rum they put on top making it the best pina colada I can recall tasting. Went straight to a Total Wine store and got a bottle. I tried it straight up and it needed ice to cut the sweetness down, which makes the flavours a bit watery, but what a great rum in a rum punch!
Along with the aromatic coconut I detect some vanilla and of course honey.
When I go back to Florida next year, this will be the first rum I pick up for the New Years Rum Punch. If you don't like coconut then this rum is not for you. If you like coconut in mixed drinks then give this a try. I am also putting a distillery tour at Siesta Key on my to do list next winter.
If you’re looking for a coconut flavored rum, this is it. Top of the charts
Wow, what a great flavor. I first avoided this as I typically don’t care for coconut, but the coconut here just ads to the smoothness. Great rum, especially for an after dinner drink.
This is a coconut sugar bomb with a beautiful toasted flavor.
On the rocks over ice cream in a mixer can't lose with the price
Anyone else think this smells and tastes a bit like Tootsie Rolls? I don’t get Coconut at all.
This smooth, flavorful rum is great for adding a more tropical vibe to your drink. The toasting adds depth that most flavored rums don't have. Absolutely worth the purchase.
Try to get a well lit shot from the front of the rum label
