Note: I'm a sipper. My opinion is based on sipping characteristics.
At first, this will blow your head off with the absolutely overwhelming coffee and caramel explosion. It hits you like a bloody train. So hard, you can hardly taste anything else. And this may actually discourage you big time. But sink there a single ice cube and you will get a completely different, well balanced and really pleasant experience.

Very close to 20 y.o. Dictador, but more alcoholic, less whole and denser taste. But still pleasantly fiery and warming.

It's ok but far from wow and definitely 30 euros are too much for this bottle. Not as smooth as I expect for a 12yo

Heavy tones of leather, tobacco, honey and tanned oak with sweet finish. Really interesting, not for all but great for sipping.

Comme le 20 ans, goût café, chocolat, caramel. Mais avec peu de rondeur et une trop grande agressivité pour moi.

Príjemný Dictador,dominujú oriešky s čokoládou. Už prakticky dezertny rum skôr pre začínajúcich rumarov.

One can easily smell nuts, taste nuts inside, reasonably good drink but not exceptional. +2 pts for "nut fans". "Bitter sweet" description below my comment also somewhat fits. For sure not "everaday replaceable rum".

Rum Dictador pochází z města Cartagena de Indias, ležícího na karibském pobřeží. Zraje solera systémem v dubových sudech po dobu nejméně dvanácti let. Vyroben je z panenské šťávy cukrové třtiny. Lákavě vypadající černá lahev byla navržena v Japonsku.
Alkohol: 40 %
Původ: Kolumbie
Aroma: Vůně je hutná, skvěle vyvážená, ale ne těžká. Jedná se o zajímavý mix kávy, sušené pomerančové kůry, kůže, karamelu, vanilky, kakaa a čokolády. Se sklenkou si můžete pohrávat dlouho a hledet a objevovat jednotlivé vůně. (87 b)
Chuť: Začátek je jemný, uhlazený, až hebký, sladkost veskrze žádná, dojem z chuti je velmi suchý, kakakový,jemně štiplavý, jemně káva a Kofila, dozvuk dřevitý až lehce kouřový. (84 b)
Shrnutí: Dictador 12y je ideální pro ty, kdo hledají protipól sladkých až přeslazených rumů, svou suchostí by je mohl oslovit. Svým charakterem nemá ani daleko k některým koňakům. Kolumbie se svým rumem nezklamala, odteď se mi při vyslovení Kolumbie vybaví už i kvalitní rum. V nabídce značky jsou i dražší a starší verze 20y, Dictador XO Perpetual a Dictador XO Insolent.
