I was surprised by how estery it was at first; but once that surprise passed, the vegetable flavors described by other reviewers took front and center. Also surprised by its sweetness, I thought it almost tasted like a high-proof ti' punch, syrup and lime already added. (I like my ti' punch rum-forward, though!) Although I think their target market was tiki drinks, I think most readers of this site will best enjoy this in a ti' punch.
It is strong, and makes me wonder if I'd like the lower-proof expression more... or if I let it breathe for a significant time... or maybe added a little water or ice. There's a lot to explore here, and I'll admit, I do not have a great palate for agricole style rhums.
