This is a great value 40° rhum agricole for those getting into the category, or looking for less fiery blanc agricole.

I have yet to be impressed by a premiere canne pressing from any French distillery; to me, the flavor is just not there.

This is on the weaker side for the style, and too easy to drink, so if you’re just getting into rum or French rhums, this is a fine, safe starting point.

I would not recommend this for cocktails calling for blanc rhum agricole because it does not have the flavor or body to stand up to the other elements.

Call me crazy but I think this is the ideal French style white rhum. It’s quite grassy but softer than it’s Niesson and Clement Bleue relatives. It makes an incredible Ti punch and daiquiri. Unfortunately I can’t find it any more so if you do find one, grab as many as you can carry.

It has a sharp, almost acrid flavor. No nose really at all. I tried using it in a Hemingway daiquiri, but it battles the grapefruit so much as to be fully bitter. I will look for potentially a punch or other use for this so as not to waste it, but I definitely won't make it the star of any shows.

Taste like heavenly sugarcane.
I like it better than their aged expressions like the VSOP.
For a Blanc Rhum is pretty smooth, no harsh alcohol flavor and the sugarcane influence can be perceived all over.
Definitely can be sipped and for cocktail should be amazing too.

Because this was my first time trying Rhum Agricole, I’m not really sure what to compare it to. Not bad, pretty good for the price.

This hits the nose like an agave spirit - that particular vegetal note that in other agricoles is described as "grasssy." However, it's a bit watery and lacking in... je ne sais quoi... maybe it's just a bit dry and underpowered. I'll be mixing this in to drinks that call for agricole (Three Dots and a Dash) but won't be drinking it in any Ti Punch as it can't hold its own on centerstage.

This ranks amongst the most memorable and tasty white rums I have bought. It is a classic agricole with earthy, grassy tones and a dry fresh cut cane taste. It is a fantastic mixer and is one of the few great white rums that keeps the home bar in good standing. Can be good for a cheeky sip or two neat as well.
