Mount Gay Black Barrel Cask Strength

Enjoyed at the Distillery - Hints of coconut and milk chocolate along with spices, brown sugar and ripened fruit on the nose. The nose can be enjoyed which is surprising for the ABV..

The extra age in the barrel
is evident with coconut, vanilla, black pepper, molasses and earthiness on the palate.. The finish is consistent, complex and smooth with the chocolate and coconut lingering until the end .

I really enjoy the MGXO, Master Select and other Special offering. Have not been a fan of their Black Barrel line. While this one comes in at 66% ABV it retains the original Black Barrel taste which I am not fond of.
