It was an ok rum lacking a lot of the flavors that I would expect. I wish that it had much more to offer. a little bland.

Smelled bad, tasted bad. Was a gift from someone that went to the Dominican. I tried it again and let it breathe for over an hour, was drinkable with ice after that.

Nice bottle of rum to have for when you just want to sip a rum and soda on the veranda. Sweet and smooth, but not something to enjoy straight from a snifter. Will buy it again as a standby for mixed drinks. Not expensive for the quality.

Not bad, and while I prefer to sip my rhums, if I need some to mix, I choose this one, as it is not on par with other on the same price range. Not complex, not particularly pleasing.

Color oscuro, aroma frutado.

My review is for the black label bottling.
This is a decent spanish style aged rum, good for highballs or for rocks sipping.
A lot of wood influence, i don't feel a great distance between Anejo and Extra Viejo, and the price is similar too.
Choose the Anejo, very near at a lower cost.
They could bottle it with more than 38%/76 proof, for that price.
I believe that this has been discontinued (in Italy i can't find it anymore) and replaced with the XV.
