Smell and taste from my perspective is identical to HC3. It is by the way produced by the same company. The alcohol bite is subjectively tad lesser, the ABV is 38% which is 2% less than HC3, but maybe I am just imagining this. There is the classic taste of tobacco, white oak, leather, vanilla, which excels in variety of mixed drinks ranging from Cuba Libre, through Mojito, to Pina Colada. Versatile white mixer for a bargain.
This is one of the best between whities. Though sipping is quite a challenge, this has an extra 'aged' note compared with other spirits in the same band. Also, it is quite cheap and good for cocktails.
Beau rhum blanc à 38% alc pour boire avec un accompagnement coke et 7up .
This is a great, easily sourceable Cuban white found in Mexico, etc., that adds contrast to Havana 3 yr. It’s a little sweeter and lacking some of the herbal notes of Havana, but it’s still a good baseline example for the style. It could be sipped neat, owing to the fact there’s a palatable dosage, making it sweeter to taste. Perhaps not for the connoisseurs, although it shouldn’t be beneath anyone, but a great entry level white rum sipper, and certainly a clutch for a mojito or daiquiri, as you might imagine.
I do not prefer white rums and this one is not exception. Not bad aroma of coconut and spice. But taste is very artificial to me, just hints of oak and spicy finish. It could be good for mixed drinks.
Too sharp on it's own, but mixes well enough. Forgetable.
Tried the Ron Cubay Añejo and Carta Blanco back-to-back while vacationing in Manzanillo Mexico. Very basic bottle and label design. Very strong alcohol smell, strong alcohol taste and strong burn if enjoyed neat. Mix it with your favorite soda and down it goes!
Sampled the Ron Cubay selection at their stall at Rum Festival Cardiff on the weekend.
This is a decent Cuban white rum aged for 3 years. It's spicy and sweet on the nose. Fresh and firy on the palate. A quality white that's easily comparable to Flor de Cana 4. Perfect for cocktails!

Grei til Cuba Libre 6 out of 10
Jeg syns denne har en litt skarp smak alene. Denne gir en søt og skarp smak med rom og cola - men blir en ekte Cuba Libre!
