Thrasher’s Coconut

Tasted at the Distillery tour on 5/23/23. Pours clear. This has a genuine quality to it. The aroma is true coconut and not the in-your-face chemical flavoring seen in so many. The abv is 40% and not the lower alcohol seen in so many coconut rums where coconut water or sweeteners are added. Pronounced coconut flesh flavors with an unexpected nut (walnut?) finish. Not toasted at all.

This is an unaged white rum that is steeped in real coconut and you can definitely tell from the aroma right away. Strong coconut flavor as well, which really tastes just like coconut itself without the sweetness. This is still a dry rum, and without any added sugar you still get a perception of sweetness through the coconut flavor. Highly recommend this if you are looking for a coconut flavored rum to use.
