Chairman’s Reserve Legacy 5-8 Years

The smell is slightly sweet, not too much. Fresh fruit predominates. Peat in the background.

It tastes just like it smells. Dry, the natural sweetness at the beginning turns into a dry peaty taste. A very good and long finish that keeps the taste in the mouth. There are some raisins in the finish. Very gentle, does not burn. There's no denying the whiskiness. Good drink to be fair, just not hit my taste. Personal rating 6/10.

Smooth, dry with some natural sweetness to it (doesnt taste like added sugar), for me a nice sipper as I like it. Not very special, but for the price +/- €30 in Holland, it does great.

Nearly the same as the 1931, but the opening is a little stronger, smokier, just a little less refined. Has a nice agricole taste, very rich flavours and aftertaste is incredibly good which reminds me a bit of Jamaican rums but more subtle, more fresh and grassy.

The mixture of molasses and canejuice as well as pot and column still makes for nice complexity and a surprisingly long finish. For 26€ an absolute winner.

on the nose is fruity, but in the mouth less fruits, some wood and vanilla, spices, some wine flavors, it s an interesting, dry rum, ABV 43% is also good, very good price, what more can i say ? that for me is a solid 8+

Really enjoyed this rum. It has a taste of spice and molasses but not overpowering and enjoyable on it's own. Definitely worth the try.
