Cihuatan Cinabrio 12-Year

While my Cihuatan Cinabrio 2cl sample bottle looks different, I suspect it is the same product and agree with the overall ratings of this beeing rather tasty, notably if you let it breathe for a while.

Ani neviem, prečo mi tento rum pri prvom ochutnaní pripomenul petrolej, hehe. Kúpil som ho na odporúčanie kamaráta, u ktorého som to nakoniec aj testoval. Na základe jeho opisu som očakával veľa, takže prvý pohárik bolo mierne sklamanie, avšak čím viac som ho skúšal, tým som mu viac prišiel na chuť. Mladší brat mi príde ešte lepší.

I tried the Cihuatan range briefly at the Singapore Cocktail Festival. This was a nice rum but not overly complex. The Cinnamon note was definitely achieved by the blenders and it was well balanced. It's just doesn't really stand out of the crowd.

I smell and taste a tone that I can't identify. Remind me of citruses. Overall it's pretty mediocre rum.

Sampled at the Laka Loco Rum Club tasting on 12/28/22. Pours gold in color. A mild aroma of toasted vanilla. This has a thinner palate than the 8 year Indigo. Flanors of vanilla, ginger, and pepper. This has a bit hotter finish than the Jade or Indigo.
