Best Rum for Cuba Libre?

I used dark rum for "Cubata", the Cuba libre variation with the twist of using dark rum. My Sadler's Peaky Blinders Black Spiced, seem to match perfectly with it, or with cola only. If you squeeze the lime parts in your glass, make sure to press the zests and leave them laying inside your glass; pour 50 ml rum, add double that coke (the good old 1:2, or if you want the modern 1:3 alcohol <-> cola dosage) and add ice cubes until the glass' full. But if you are not a fan of dark rums and/or spiced ones, just wait for somebody else's reply. I myself loved this product in that coctail, though.

I usually drink double Cuba Libre (80 ml rum) with a whole lime muddled (which means the proportions are rather like in Long Island Iced Tea). Havana Club 3yo works best but I also like Diplomatico Claro and Brugal Blanco.

I heared that Pampero Anniversario is great for Cuba libre. There was a tasting in Germany with Falk Redlich, a taster from Rum&Co. Maybe you can translate this site. https://www.rumundco.de/magazin/battle-summer-special/ Pampero won this tasting, second best was Santiago de Cuba Anejo.

Started to mix Cuba libre with Havana Club Anejo Reserva. Now I love it with Plantation O.F.T.D., oh yes Ronny, delicious with the Plantation Pineapple. Tried once with Don Papa (no way to drink this rum neat) and the result: A really fancy Coke.

Add the rum, then abundant ice cubes and last, cola. Sir "stingy the professional", forgot to mention the ratio of rum to cola, but i made certain to present both typical choices above. And he said absolutely nothing on pressing the zests vigorously, before adding the rest on top of them. Let alone, two lime wedges thrown in spice things up better, anyway.
