Kraken Black Spiced Rum was first introduced by Proximo Spirits in 2010 . The dark rum is infused with 11 “secret” spices, caramel and other natural flavors.
The rum gets its name after the mythical sea creature 'The Kraken'. As legend has it, this terrifying creature attacked ships at sea during the 18th and 19th centuries - possibly for all the rum on board.

Has notes of spices and sweetness, all of which is overpowered by its harshness. You're better off buying Captain Morgan Black Spiced.

Best taste with ice cubes helps that chocolate flavor
Something different for a cochtail.
Not really okay for drinking neat.

It’s in most shops and stores and it’s my go to spicy rum
I keep a bottle on my boat. It seems to be the correct place for a glass over ice.Sit back and watch the sun set into the Pacific..It's a acquired taste, slightly thick, bold, black navy type rum,
It's the type of rum the captain of the boat in Jaws was talking about when he said "Rum ain't drinking, it's surviving!"

This is a sweet rum with a very strong vanilla flavor. It has a wonderful bit of spice and caramel too it as well.. only a slight burn if any.
This is one of my go to rums for mixing and would totally even just sip on it for the lovely vanilla flavor!!

Good 1:1 with ginger and smooth enough to drink straight but not enough depth of flavour and very sweet. Overall a decent rum for the price tag.
