Just back from this years rumcruise at the Baltic Sea with Birka cruises. It’s a fantastic opportunity to test new rum, rarities and old favourites. There’s also Master classes and I attended at two. In one of them the theme was the diversity of rum and there this Agricole at 59% represented white rum.
I have had a rule that never rate a white rum higher than five, but rules are there to break. So this one got a six cause I have never tested a white Rhum this complex and fruity. It’s no problem at all to zip it.

Enjoyed a bottle of Rhum Bielle Blanc while vacationing in Sardinia. Bottle and label design looks very dull and unimaginative. Very reasonable EUR 14 price. Typical dry notes from the Rhum Agricole manufacturing process straight to the nose and palate with a strong fruitiness. Very strong burn at the end. Mix it with your favorite soda and down it goes.
