Encore un ambré de chez Bielle excellent. Rhum très fin et très accessible. Pour un ambré se rapproche très aisément de certains Vieux de 3 ans. A tester et apprecier.
This hits all the high notes for nose, alcohol concentration, flavor profile and smoothness. None of that candy-in-a-bottle business, the sweetness that's detectable upfront comes from (uncharred) white wine and cognac casks, and quickly makes way for a dry finish without any hint of sugar at all. It's about 30 euros (steep, but see Labat rhum vieux or Bellevue 1821 10 yr for comparison), and one of the best values for any aged rhum agricole I've encountered.
