Chairman's Reserve Spiced

Le gout de cannelle y est beaucoup trop prononcé. Je n'ai pas l'impression de boire un rhum mais plutôt une liqueur de cannelle.

This is a heavily spiced/flavored rum. Perhaps too much. Unfortunately one of the predominate flavors I taste is cloves.

I hate cloves.

I do also detect citrus and figgy undertones. A hint of cinnamon & nutmeg as well. Other spices and flavors that I cannot readily identify.

I honestly cannot give this more than a 4 however I clearly see the best use for this is in some mulled cider variant during the Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays. Others clearly like this more than I but I offer my opinion as is.

Had a rum tasting on a sunny afternoon, because why not. Chairman's Reserve Spiced Rum bottle and label design looks pretty nice. Pure alcohol and nasty artificial flavors to the nose and palate. Strong burn at the end. Mix it up for your own sanity.

Jeg var fornyligt til rom smagning med Masterblender Søren Beyer og som sidste rom havde han denne med, bare lugten var nok til, at jeg ikke skulle have den i munden ;-)
