And never really has been!
Spiritual, disharmonious, unstable, expens. It shows all the possible disadvantages of rum. But the label and cork designs are cool.
Спиртуозен, дисгармоничен, не выдержан, дорогой. Он собрал все возможные недостатки рома. Но дизайн этикетки и пробки прикольный.
Way too much spice for my tongue, and the spirit is nothing special either. Better to forget.
Basic mixer style spiced rum. Decent with dry ginger ale and lime.
Same as kraken and Captain Morgan etc.
Most bars have it, many people love it. I'm unsure if it could be called rum. Great job on the marketing and for people living in Australia it's better than drinking Bundaberg.
The spice blend is on point but it is so incredibly sweetens, it removes all enjoyment from the product.
I guess there is a market for this too???
Mixed with Hot Choco in a cold winter day
There are but a few rums I really dislike. I mean, I don't like to sip Myers black rum because of it's overwhelming and rough taste, but it works for cocktails and mixes well for tiki drinks. So if it's something I don't enjoy in pure form, it doesn't mean that I detest it, and every thing has it's place in life. Not Sailor Jerry though. The taste of it. It's like I'm watching a noir movie, where the guy is sitting depressed in his office, smoking cheap cigarettes and drinking cheap booze to forget his life. It tastes just like that. It is not good for drinking, it is not good for mixing, it is not good for infusions or cooking. It's just very very bad.
Sorry, my son gave me a glass of this and I couldn't drink as it was too sweet. Not being sexist but would be good as a ladies drink
New Look Bottle For Sailor Jerry Spiced Rum
"Sailor Jerry Spiced rum new bottle PR from The Floating Rum Shack"
The rum smells very sweet.
"It is initially very sweet on the tip of the tongue but it soon becomes very bitter."
Try to get a well lit shot from the front of the rum label

Note: I'm a sipper. My opinion is based on sipping characteristics.
This was the epitome of what happens when I break my rule to not buy anything when I'm already drunk. And that's a simple rule that has saved me many times. And I still regret I did not buy the 5-year El Dorado or Matusalem that night. It's good for mixing, all right, that's where it shines but sipping it is a pitiful decision. As a side note, an unexpected effect I tried out of desperation and one that produced excellent results, was drizzling my bbq with it.
