Nail on the head. It doesn’t get better than this. Real dope toasted almond and apple skin like feel on the pallet.

Team Queens share I thought I enjoyed the Navy Yard most, but this one beats it as far as a sipper goes. Real smooth cinnamon, caramel, and date on the pallet.

Foursquare 2007 Sagacity 12-year

Another Foursquare hit Beautifully blended. Strong molasses on the pallet. A very smooth finish.

Absolutely delightful. One of the best rum old fashioned you could make. Strong and mellow.

Killer Truly funky in the best way. A killer daiquiri and stellar ti punch.

Rum for whiskey drinkers A nice touch of heat on the backend. Ultra ultra smooth. Very well balanced.

Hampden Estate Pure Single Jamaican Overproof

Wooo! It’s gonna be hard to find an overproof that can top this. Stellar notes of wood and spice. A sipper for the brave.

Plantation 2002 Jamaica

Choice I think this is the best plantation expression I’ve had. Perfectly balanced with a great brûlée’d vanilla like taste.

Neisson Blanc 50

For an Agricole, its gonna be hard to beat Super smooth at 50% abv. Nice cane, pine, and jasmine on the pallet.

One of the best gold overproofs One of the best modifiers for any cocktail. Banana, burnt sugar, and Guayaba on the pallet.

Hamilton Jamaican Pot Still Black

Great black rum Wonderful pot still expression. Strong caramel, toffee, and banana. A great high proof option with bold body and a wide pallet.

An absolute gem Such good quality funk. A strong nose of cane, banana, and moss. Palate is not as smooth and a little hot. To me, that’s not a bad thing.

A good all arounder This will strongly elevate any cocktail. It will also shine brightly on its own.

Your ideal cheap white rum Good bleed. Nice and grassy, with good tropical fruit funk. Not super sweet. Makes a great classic daiquiri.

Best white rum A masterful blend between Hampden estate and Foursquare. Designed to be a great mixing rum. Great balanced notes of grass, coffee, and stone fruits.

Wray & Nephew White Overproof

One of the best white overproofs Always a pleasure. Smooth banana, grass and peas on the pallet. Cane and soil on the nose.

Taste great with bbq pork This is delicious. Not a sipper for a beginner at 60.5% abv. Strong notes of cinnamon, apple, ripe banana.

Habitation Velier 2015 Forsyths WP 502 White

She’s beautiful A tremendous white rum. The nose speaks volumes! Loud banana, cane, and stone fruit. Palate is allspice, papaya, banana, and sweet tea.

It’s dope Beautiful rich amber color. Good molasses, and saw dust on the nose. Easy pink peppercorn, oak, and caramel on the pallet.

A great blend Smooth toffee, marshmallow, and oak palette. Beautiful golden amber hue.

A solid blend Nothing overly spectacular. Just a very solid, aged blend. Great price point. Great for mixing, okay for sipping.

El Dorado 8-year

Very delicious A smooth Demerara rum. Oak and Apple on the nose. Oak, burnt sugar, and lime on the pallet.

A stellar staple One of the better white rums. Aged 3 years and has a beautiful light color. A delightful mojito and daiquiri.

A classy rum Very delicate nose. Smooth and sophisticated pallet. Lots of honey, oak, and sap. Great for sipping or mixing.

Diplomatico Reserva

One of there better rums Much better than the reserva. Far less sweet and more definition. Strong caramel and cane.

Appleton Estate Rare Blend 12-year

Very dope A sophisticated funk. Great nose with ripe banana and vanilla. A classic Appleton blend.

Real McCoy White Single Blended 3-year

A great white rum No alcohol burn. A great light body. notes of coconut with a light oak after taste. A good clean mixing rum.

Delightful A very smooth blend. No surprise there. Nice caramel, brine, and oak notes.

Classic Fiji Nice and dry. Some nice brown butter and burnt caramel hints. Cognac really pulls through in a good way. Sip this while you eat a snickerdoodle.

Plantation Original Dark Double Aged

Can’t beat for the price point At $20-$25 a bottle you can’t beat it. A great dark blend.

Average Very okay. Ideal for a mix. Not much too enjoy as a sipper. Smooth mellow pallet.

Paranubes Oaxaca Aguardiente de Caña

A real okay agricole Not quite my style. Very banana heavy and thin on the pallet.

Damn good for a base blend Smooth and balanced. Exceptional for any rail rum.

Clement VSOP 4-year

Regular as hell Not bad by any stretch but pretty underwhelming. Thin and flabby on the pallet.

Plantation Barbados 5-year

Great for price point Not too sweet. Nice grass, banana, and oak flavors.

For Bacardi, it’s good. While majorly not an 8 year old rum, there are still good oak notes. A well balanced blend with strong toffee, oak, and vanilla notes.

Tasty but misleading While it is tasty, it’s not what you’d normally think of when sipping rum comes to mind. A good introductory rum. Taste like cola and maple.

Great mixing rum Definitely has sweetener added. Likely coloring as well. It’s a little rich for my preference but it’s not bad. Vanilla, oak, and tobacco on the palle

Not what I was hoping for Makes sense most of the aging occurs in Scotland. Drinks very similarly to a mellow scotch. Nice tobacco and pepper on the pallet.

The ideal mixer Great for piña colada’s. Nice dark molasses flavor. Heavy on the pallet in an enjoyable way. Not too sweet

Real average Nice on the pallet. Soft brown sugar, banana, and caramel. Taste very artificial on the pallet. Not gross by any means. A great bottle to gift someone

Just don’t do it if you don’t have too It’s not the worst. It’s a real molasses heavy, artificially sweetened rum.

Diamond Reserve Superior White

Not very good Worth drinking if there’s no other choices. A good mixing rum. Oak, alcohol, and vanilla On the pallet.

Bacardi Superior

Real okay for a well rum Taste like sugar and banana flavoring. Not the best for at home but damn fine as a well rum.

Sailor Jerry Spiced

So over the top sweet The spice blend is on point but it is so incredibly sweetens, it removes all enjoyment from the product.

Captain Morgan Spiced

Nope Spice blend isn’t balanced and too sweet. This is the rum that scars people and turns them away for life.
