It's not as gasoline-like as Bacardi 151 but this sucker packs a punch and demands respect. This isn't for sippin' or shots. This rum is for a big bowl of punch!
It is an ok taste but has to be mixed with something or it gets overbearing.
A great ovenproof to mix in punch. Found this at a state store in South Philly.
Vegetal almost like fresh sugarcane.
"It smells of sweet alcohol mixed with freshly cut grass an almost sour slightly fermented note."
Try to get a well lit shot from the front of the rum label

Nose: Clearly unaged spirit, particularly through a sweet buttered corn note similar to unaged American corn whiskey. However, this immediately ends and more consistently conveys fresh sugar cane. Surprising aromas of savory, spicy carbonara sauce - the "taboo" cream-based version made by Filipinos. Lots of green vegetable notes, too, like steamed peas. Water highlights the sugarcane more and brings out some acetone and horchata.
Palate: Starts off hot and in a very similar way to the nose, but with novel nuances of nutmeg, old citrus peel, and grilled green beans. A steady presence of sugarcane juice is there, too, alongside thyme. With water, I'm reminded of having sake and peanuts during a chilly evening in Asakusa, Japan.
Finish: Sweet and long. Shelled nuts and pears.
