Ron Zacapa XO Rum is produced in the highlands of Guatemala where it is distillled from fresh cane juice. The rum is then aged from 6 to 23 years at 7544 feet above sea level at 62 °F (17 °C) using the solera process. The solera aging process incorporates barrels that previously held American whiskeys, sherries, wines and Cognac
The unique Ron Zacapa XO glass decantur features an impression of a woven band around the middle, which is in reference to the original hand woven palm leaf petate bottle cover that covered the bottle

Just sip and enjoy it just doesn't get much better than this one.
Great rum, very easy to drink, but has also character and what a character. Very smooth at the beginning, but if you hold it for a while in mouth, you start to explore all the fragments of the taste. Just try it.

Sorry, I can't rate the taste of this, it just looks far to good to crack open! Would rate it a 9, but the box even though it's nice, could be made slightly better. & at close to $200 here, it's just to far damn expensive.

It's always nice to cross one of the wish list.
Absolutely no alcohol burn on the nose, very smooth delivery. In the mouth I taste black liquorice, coffee and a hint of cognac; very nice.
At a $100 a bottle, you can't go wrong.
The strong burnt caramel mixed with pipe tobacco smell adds to sweet and spicy flavour. Long and smooth finish leaving hint of vanilla, smoke and honey.
Pleasure to sip it slowly and straight.

a great rum had this a while back so struggling to recall the subtle notes and flavours. A great rum easy to drink very enjoyable drink

Réussi, riche, doux et subtil, le prix m'empêche de le noter mieux, à ce prix là il y a mieux à savourer.

the packing and 'very charming recalling bottles of old cognac, and' just tied to what 'creates a high expectation within see it.Il product comes with a nice bright color of old gold, the smell that is perceived and' immediately and sweet with hints of vanilla and a hint of alcohol and mild and not by disorder, are perceived in the mouth of the notes of molasses and caramel but overall interesting. The final and 'soft just like a cognac, but sadly not' long as you expect.
