Ron Zacapa

Ron Zacapa rum is produced in Guatemala, owned by Industrias Licoreras de Guatemala, and distributed by Diageo. The brand was created in 1976 to celebrate the centenary of the city of Zacapa, a small Guatemalan town founded in 1876. The Ron Zacapa bottle was originally covered in a traditional 'petate' - a matting made from palm leaves that was hand woven by traditional hat artisans. Today the bottle features a symbolic band etching around the middle.
