Ron Zacapa XO Rum is produced in the highlands of Guatemala where it is distillled from fresh cane juice. The rum is then aged from 6 to 23 years at 7544 feet above sea level at 62 °F (17 °C) using the solera process. a most excellent sipping rum, with hints of vanilla, caramel, and tropical spice. muted alcohols, excellent nose, much too tasty to mix!

I'd been looking forward to this one for quite a while. That Zacapa flavor is definitely there, but there's a smoothness that the Solera 23 lacks. An excellent rum and well worth trying if you can afford the high price.

Denne skal smages. Den er en anelse dyr, men er klart alle pengene værd.

After trying the 15 years, then the 23 years, I finally bought myself this bottle. I was so excited to open it... The first smell was gorgeous, the first taste was wonderful, I knew directly that this bottle was worth the money I paid for it.
It is more intense that the 23 years. It keeps the smoothness, the perfect vanilla taste and i has a very long spicy aftertaste. This is one of my favorites. I need to buy a second bottle, the first one will be empty very soon.

Smooth yet with good burn. You can really taste the wood.

Er i en helt anden klasse en den klassiske 23 fra Zacapa. Denne rom er virkelig smooth. Den har rigtig godt af lige at stå 15 min i glasset inden den drikkes.
