Guatemala | Aged | 40% ABV | Column Still (1-4)

Ron Zacapa 23 Solera Rum was created in 1976 in the highlands of Guatemala, where it is distilled in a copper-lined column still from fresh cane juice before solera aging.

The 500 year-old Spanish Sistema Solera method is used to age Ron Zacapa 23 in white oak casks. This results in a combination of rums aged between 6 and 23 years.

The current Ron Zacapa 23 bottle features a woven band around the middle, which is in reference to the original hand woven palm leaf petate bottle cover that covered the bottle.

Has a nice smell to it, does not taste like a rum that is super sweet. You know the ones, the ones that taste like syrup. This rum tastes like real rum. Simply the best Cuba libre I’ve ever had. It is a little pricey but I tell you, you will not regret it.

This rum is made from sugarcane honey and you can taste molasses, vanilla, and marzipan. Has little to no burn. However, its too sweet on my palate. Kinda like im drinking $40 syrup. For the same money, Id rather buy Appleton 12 rare blend. More complexity and less sugar.

Very enjoyable and flavorful. Hints of toffee and oak can be enjoyed on its own or with you favorite mix. Highly recommended.

Очень питкий, хороший ром. Сладкий но не на столько, как думал.

I rate my rum on the after taste. Should not be to bitter but nice and smooth. I rated the diplomatica reserva exclusiva a 10 and this one comes really close for me and therefor the high score.

I like sweet rums. Good price quality ratio.

Can't go far wrong ! will never upset you. bit high priced in the UK £46- 56 2021 so not a great deal

Love the brand and they are working hard to keep a great profile Product treated with care Nice presentation in the main But I feel I'm paying for it Should be around £30 - £35 IMO

Very Safe would buy again and I'm going to try their other products if I track them down

Lovely aroma. Complex flavor. More burn than I would like. Straight to my head every time.

Not bad over ice or in a cocktail variety. Definitely sweet and syrupy. A step up from what you drank in college but losses steam as a rum favorite when you broaden you rum experiences.
