Actually disappointing. Not bad with ginger ale but too sweet with cola.
Ok taste. Would say its under the average of the rums I have yet tried.
Medium priced
Smell too much perfumed for my taste
My son bought me this for my birthday , the first bottle that he’s been legally allowed to buy, so it’s a bit special to me. Very sweet and a bit syrupy. Not a bad flavour, not really for me but might suit someone with a little more of a sweet tooth.
PS as I’m typing getting a really nice burn!
This rum has aromas similar to the Millonario XO. It's in the same relationship to the Millonario XO as the Zacapa 23 to the Zacapa XO.
The Millonario 15 is younger, cheaper and a simpler alternative to the XO.
It's not as balanced as XO and the aromas of glue/herbs are very dominant. It's sweet and dark in the taste, also very intensive. Of course it's unique, but you have to love this combination of flavors. It's not for everyone.
If you love sweet rums based on molasses, go for it.
Smell: glue, herbs (parsley is very itensive), burned sugar, caramel, fruits in the background (peach, banana, raisins), barrel.
Taste: parsley, sweetness (caramel, peaches), spice, coffee, fruit, vanilla, wood, some glue.
Finish: middle long, sweet dark chocolate with parsley, spice.
Aftertaste: sweetness, then sherry.
Let it in the glas for 30 minutes, then the smell of glue reduces.

What's special: Distilled in three old Scottish column stills. They use their own yeast (don't know which kind).
Looking at other ratings maybe I tasted this rum too early. It was one of the first ones I have ever tried, but all I remember is sugar...
A lot of caramel and some smoke makes a good first impression. But it is really too sweet for sipping straight.
Doux et sucré
Try to get a well lit shot from the front of the rum label

Sugar: 42 GPL! If you like Really sweet rums, you will enjoy this one. This rum is very similar to the Millonario XO. The difference lies in that the 15 is a bit sweeter and is not quite as complex in flavor as the XO. Toffee, Bananas, Caramel Apple, and smoothness are all present in the 15. And of course there is the price factor of the Millonario 15 being half the cost of the Millonario XO. Both are good rums but the Millonario 15 is just a bit too sweet for my liking! I would spend the extra and get the XO version.
