Launched in 2011, Bacardi Oakheart is the newest addition to the extensive Bacardi collection.
This spiced rum is aged for 1 to 2 years, filtered using a proprietary process, and then flavored with various spices including maple, nutmeg, cinnamon and honey.
Bacardi Oakheart took over two years to name and more than 2700 names were considered. The winner, Oakheart, is a reference to the charred American white oak barrels that house the rum while it ages.

Always on offer somewhere, so not much to complain pricewise. A bit too much vanilla for me, but one of Bacardi's better offerings.
I keep a bottle of this on hand most of the time. Rum and Cokes are my favorite, and this is the best mixer I've found for it.

This is fine for putting coke in it, or tea or coffee. But even sparkling water leaves a bit too much "not so great" to have on its own. Do I need to say more?

I like this rum not too bad, goes nice with a mix.
Can't go wrong with this daily drinker. Not a super fine spirit, but does a great job day in and day out

I like a lot of different rums but really don’t rate this one even as a mixer

This is a rum I would definitely buy again. It’s smooth, rich, delicate.

Easy sipping, a bit spiced, nothing elaborated , just a party rum.

The finish of this rum in old bourbon casks gives it a distinct flavour and its one that I really enjoy with coke. I enjoyed this rum, especially considering the price and would choose this over Morgan's spiced or other supermarket equivalents.
