Bacardi Gold

I pretty much only have my rum with a little coke and sometimes lime. On a scale of 1 to 10 (1 being a broke college kid looking for anything cheap, and 10 being a rum snob), I'd have to say I'm a 4 or 5. I definitely appreciate the various flavors of rum and I don't only drink cheap stuff. This rum was okay at first. But the more a drank it, the more it began to have a funky flavor. The only way I can describe it is a chlorine aftertaste.. But it's fine for mixing, I just don't like having more than one in a sitting or it starts tasting funky.

Have trouble even finishing a glass of this stuff. Maybe its ok with coke but not straight up

I like the Bacardi Superior (silver) better in a Cuba Libra (rum & coke with a lime), as it really pops with the lime. If I'm drinking just a rum and coke, however, the gold does add another dimension.

Almost every other rum I have ever had was better than this, including some whites. If you absolutely have no other option, use it as a mixer. Very strongly alcoholic, which is reflected in the taste and the aroma.

You will probably never want to touch it again if you drink it straight.

Bacardi Gold puts up a good fight. Nevertheless, I find Havana Club gold superior. Drinkable only in cuba libre (lots of coke, not good rum)

Un ron que me enamoró desde muy joven ya que era de los mejores para mi bolsillo y una calidad que hasta ahora es indiscutible.

Kinda over dramatic on this. Started with this and superior to rum... so i cannot give horrible rating but i know who i am when and how i started :)

Was doing the job before getting exposed richer rum life.

If you are partying and really do not care about complexity flavor finish nose etc. Drink it it will do the job. :)

For everything else start looking other rums.

Nice entry level rum imo.. tastes good with coke and tastes not bad straight. Fine for mixing of when you don't want to spend to much! Nothing special though!

Not very good.
This rum is a mixer only, nothing special about it.
Never seem to like Bacardi very much, not exactly sure why but underwhelming every time.
So many good rums out there that there is no reason to buy this one.
